Bella Terra Trompe L'oeil Scottsdale,AZ
I just started a new exciting work! The home owners association of Bella Terra residential community in Scottsdale, Arizona commissioned me with the help of my best friend and colleague Nancy Harper to paint a trompe l'oeil ("to fool the eye"). The 8' wide by 5' high painting titled "Tuscan Vista". It will portray a peaceful Italian hillside as seen through a set of large faux windows painted on the wall of the community meeting room. While a gallery piece “hangs on a wall”, trompe l’oeil “transforms the wall”. I will be using oil paint as the medium. I anticipate that the work will be completed in approximately 2 months. I hope you will follow my progress on this blog. I welcome your comments
